THE CONCEPTION & BIRTH OF SAVE-Ghana

The idea of SAVE-GHANA was revealed to Kanton K. Kingsley while on a loan recovery to Kunkorgu, a small village in the Sissala West District, at the time of working with Agric Development Bank in 2004.

What he saw was not the poverty that he read about in books and heard people describe- it was human suffering in his face. The people had a boat, but no real friends to sail it with. According to John McGrath they have a lemon; the problem is how to turn it into a lemonade.

The next couple of days were terrible for him, as he thought of what he could do to salvage the situation. he decided to dedicate himself to serving others. Therefore, he abandoned the ship (job) and took the long swim (SAVE-GHANA) to bring even a smile to at least one face.
