Supporting women through skills training, livelihood support, and advocacy
Women are at the heart of community development in Northern Ghana. SAVEGhana's Women's Economic Empowerment program focuses on building the capacity of women to achieve economic independence, leadership roles, and equal rights within their communities.
Through comprehensive skills training, livelihood support, and advocacy initiatives, we empower women to become agents of change in their families and communities, breaking cycles of poverty and creating opportunities for future generations.
Our practical skills training programs provide women with marketable skills that generate income and improve household wellbeing. From traditional shea butter processing to modern soap making and tailoring, women gain hands-on experience and business acumen to start and sustain their own enterprises.

"After the soap making training, I started my own business. Now I can pay my children's school fees and support my family. I am no longer dependent on my husband for everything."
"The business training taught me how to manage money and keep records. My shea butter business has grown and I now employ three other women from my community."
"Through SAVEGhana's women's group, I learned about my rights and gained confidence. I am now a member of our community's decision-making committee."
